Sesame Fun

We recently attended Sesame Street Live at the Sprint Center. We're not huge sesame street people but it sounded like something fun to do on a weekend where there wasn't much going on. So we headed down to Power n Light, walked around some of the shops, and had delicious pizza at Pizza Bar. Then we were off, we didn't tell Madelyn where we were going so she started seeing the Elmo on the bill boards and on several other kiddos t-shirts and finally she guessed it and was super excited.

They had a Play Zone to visit before the show so we got in line for some cute photos. (Pardon the crummy photos, they were taken on my phone.)

The show was really good and although we purchased tickets super late we had a great view. Although, watching a show while surrounded with several other infants and toddlers is a little hard!

Daddy is always the hero-key to a little girl's heart- cotton candy!

Even Matt and I were reminded of our childhood days while watching the show, it was really fun!

Glamour Party

A few weeks ago one of Madelyn's best friends turned 7!! She had a Girls Glamour Party that was so fun! All the girls got their hair, nails, and make-up done. Then there was a fashion show and photo stop. I did nails on about 12 little girls and then took pictures for the fashion show! Madelyn tagged along the big girls and had a fabulous time. Here are a few photos!

I'm sure one of these types of parties is in our future, it's all Madelyn can talk about. I just hope it's a few years down the road, she can stay "a little girl" for a bit longer!

Pinterest Success

Wanna make a cool tie dye shirt without all the dye mess? Here ya go. I found it on pinterest and thought it would be a perfect craft for the weekend! And it was a success!

First you place a plastic cup in the shirt and place a rubber band around the cup so that it stays in place. Then using sharpies color a design where the cup is. Next use a dropper to drop rubbing alcohol on the cup until the colors start to blend making a rosette.

We went at an angle up the shirt but you could make any design. Make sure to let dry with a barrier between the front and back of the shirt and then wash the shirt before you wear!

Voila a cute, little mess craft in no time!

Winter Fun

This winter we have enjoyed a little time outside...

And we've loved every minute of it!! I would really love to have one big snow, the kind that gives us a snow day where we can get on all our snow gear, head outside and have a ball building snowman, having a snowball fight, and watch the dog go crazy romping around in the powder, and then come inside for some steaming hot chocolate topped with marshmellows and cuddle up to watch a good movie! But for now, we will enjoy the beautiful weather. I hope you are too!

Scrub a Dub

Check out the robe and towel! Madelyn is now insisting to be just like momma, right down to lounging in a robe and hair up in a towel for a little while after her bath. She thinks the towel trick is the coolest thing!
