Pumpkin Time

Here is our pumpkin carving fun, even CC enjoyed it!

Halloween Fun

My flapper girl and strawberry! We enjoyed trunk or treat and Matt's YMCA and were spoiled with lots of candy and games. A week later was halloween so I tried to convince the flapper girl that we had enough candy and didn't need to go trick or treating around the neightborhood but she didn't buy it so Madelyn and I went out with our backyard neighbor boys to haul in another round of candy!

9 Months Old!

Cecilia was 9 months old on October 13th!!

Milestones this month:

-Dr. appoint with shots this month, yuck! Official weight 17.3 pounds and official height 26 inches tall

-One more tooth on bottom

-Celebrating her first halloween

-Size three diapers

-Wearing size 6 or 9 months clothing

-Hates to have things on her head

-Starting table food and loving it

-New "monkey crawling" up on hands and feet
-Pulling up on everything and taking lots of steps while hanging on

Catching up!

I have so much to get caught up: 9, 10, and 11th month posts for CC, halloween and fall stuff, and so much more. I'd like to get it all in before the New Year. Blogger is being super difficult for me but I hope I can get it all done. Stay tuned for lots of posts!!

Pumpkin Patch

I figured before the rush of holiday activity starts I should probably get caught up with all our fall activities :)  We enjoyed a beautiful day at the pumpkin patch this year, wonderful weather and lots of fun activities.

The spider maze was challenging for Madelyn but thankfully Daddy came to the rescue



Fun in the fun house!



Going through the corn maze with a stroller was a little difficult.  Matt and Madelyn thought it was hilarious to leave Cecilia and I in the dust and see if we could catch up.  About 10 minutes by myself, lost and helpless in the corn maze.  I started to feel a little bit desperate and then suddently the exit appeared!!  Somehow I even beat Matt and Madelyn out of the maze.  I will have to think of something sneaky to do next year to them! 

 

 

Deanna Rose Farmstead

Back in the fall we visited one of our favorite places, Deanna Rose!!  Although it was pretty hot we had an awesome time seeing all the animals, feeding goats, and walking through their beautiful gardens.  Here is our visit in pictures:

 

The Old Schoolhouse, the teacher in the room shared lots of good info about school long ago, Madelyn had a hard time believing that this is what school used to look like.

8 Months Old

On September 13, this little girl turned 8 Months!! 

Milestones this month:

-no official weight check this month but our scales say 16 pounes

-still sleeping like a champ, she sucks down a small bottle at about 8:00 and then practically crawls out of your hands to get to her bed and then we don't hear from her until the next morning (on the weekends she sleeps in until 8:00am!!)

-eating soft table foods and loving it, we still do do some baby food but she really wants to feed herself

-first trip to Deanna Rose (pictures to come soon)

-enjoyed lots and lots of outdoor time, afterschool I put her in the jogging stroller and we go for a two mile jog while Madelyn rides her bike next to us

-loves daycare

-endured her first real sickness:(

She hasn't loved baths since we stopped using the infant tub but finally she is starting to enjoy them

Peek-a-boo in the curtains is her favorite

CC loves to play in the fridge, pulling out lots of stuff from the door and trying to open them or chew on the containers.  Maybe a sign she is ready for more table food :)

What it takes...

It takes a real man to push their child in swing while holding and American Girl Doll!!

Summertime Fun!

We didn't venture out too many times to the pool this year with the little one but here is a picture of our last visit. Madelyn enjoyed swimming lessons this year and we went to the pool a few times in the evenings to perfect her skills. She is definitely gaining confidence and having fun. Cecilia loves to splash, she sits beside me in the zero depth and splashes her little heart out. Can't wait until next summer!

7 Months Old



Cecilia turned 7 months old on August 13th!
Milestones include:
-on the move, everywhere, all the time!
-babbling, we have heard mama, dada, baba
-transitioned to daycare well and with Mommy back at work we enjoy lots of snuggles at night and on the weekends
-still enjoying foods, mostly homeade veggies and fruits, likes the orange veggies better than green ones
-teeth, two bottom teeth showed up shortly after school started
-no official height and weight check up but on our home scales she weighs 15 pounds
-still sleeping well at night
-doesn't like to be left out

-SMILES LOTS!

We did a lot of outdoor time this summer, swinging was one of her favorite things!

First Grade Here She Comes!

This post is a little late, actually I'm a little behind in blogging. I'll get caught up soon! Anyway, how is it possible that young girl is in first grade already?? Really, where does time go? First grade is going strong. Madelyn loves her teacher and is enjoying seeing all of her old friends from last year. Her favorite school subjects are reading and writing and she loves art and music classes as well. I love bumping into her around school during the day, it brightens my day to see her walking down the hallway with her class! I hope she continues to love learning and school as much as she does these early years!

T-ball Time

This summer Madelyn played t-ball and LOVED it. The recreation we went through they still had t-ball for her age and it worked out perfect for her. She hustled to get the ball and loved batting and fielding. It was so much fun to watch.

Fourth of July

I'm really struggling with blogger, most of the time I cannot upload all photos I want to and now I cannot type where I want to either. So here is pictures of our Fourth of July fun. If anyone knows why blogger is acting strange let me know!
