Easter Fun!

I know it's mid June and I am just now getting around to this post, yikes!  Here is a look at our egg dying experience this year, CC's first time!

Someone is a huge poser these days!

They turned out pretty good!

It was right around Easter when we started getting these enormous smiles from Cecilia.  She is such a happy girl!

Quote of the Week

Madelyn: "Can I have some more broccoli please?"

Me: "Absolutely!"

(Five minutes later)

Madelyn: "I want to rinse the dishes and put them in the dishwasher."

Me: "Who are you and what have you done with my daughter."

4 Months Old

On May 13th, this little one turned 4 months!!  Oh what fun we have had the last few months!

Major Milesones:

-weight: 11 pounds 13.5 ounces  (5th percentile)

-height: 24 inches (20th percentile)

-lots of giggling

-a very strong grasp on anything in reach

-curiosity of what we are eating

-really playing with her toys

-still sleeping well and nursing well

-rolling over in her bassinet at night

At the last dr. appointment we were given the okay to start rice cereal.  She has been sitting with us in the bumbo chair at dinner and looks at us longingly for some of our food.  She has even started grabbing for our drinks and plates.  Nursing is still going well and big sister begs constantly to bottle feed her.

My Two Laundry Helpers are soooooo helpful!

Chewing on everything, even the bumbo.  We recently started putting her in a regular high chair because she is constantly sitting lopsided in the bumbo so that she can chew on the tray.  One of these days there will be teeth there.

Loving to learn from Madelyn

Cecilia is super duper social, she doesn't want to be left out and will let you know about it.  Sitting up by herself is next on her to do list.  She is so easy going and still only fusses when she is hungry or tired.  I feel blessed everyday!

Everyone says both my girls look like their daddy as babies, oh well, he's pretty cute too.

Trip out West

Way back in March we traveled back to Larned so that my extended family could all meet Cecilia and so that we could celebrate Madelyn's sixth birthday with her grandparents.  Here are few pictures from our trip.



We always enjoy vising my grandparents farm, especially Madelyn.  Here is four generations.  From right to left,  my mom, my grandmother holding CC, Madelyn, and myself.

During previous visits to the farm we have found the barn cats, played with baby calves, checked the cattle in grandpa's pick, and it was time for a new adventure this time.  So Madelyn and cousin Melissa got to ride on my Uncle Ron's mustang horse Jazzy.  Boy was this a treat for a city girl!  She has got to pet Jazzy before but this was the first horse ride of any kid.  She loved it and I secretly hope there's a little bit of a country girl in there somewhere.

Another bonus of this visit was that my Aunt Heidi and cousins Melissa and TJ were home from Korea for a visit.  It isn't often that we get to see them but it is always lots of fun.  Doesn't it look like their family is in desperate need of another baby!
