5 Year Pictures (FINALLY)

Way back in June Matt had a conference in Excelsior Springs so Madelyn and I tagged along and hung out by the pool.  We stayed at The Elms which has beautiful open grounds and wooded areas so we had a little photo session.  And I am just now getting all the pictures edited and posted!  (way to go me!)

19 and 20 Weeks

Don't mind the fact that I'm wearing the same sweater in both photos!   Oops!  BTW, both of these dresses make my expanding belly look huge in comparison to previous pictue and they don't really flatter my tail feather either, yikes!

Pregnancy Highlights: (from 2 weeks ago)
Symptoms: tired, several headaches, sleeping is getting uncomfortable, starving one minute, sick to my stomach the next moment

Cravings: gum, anything made of cream cheese
Total Weight Gain: 6 pounds (although I feel like I've gained lots more)
Movement: lot and lots getting stronger
What I miss: more than one cup of coffee, wine, my old body
Best moment this week: several people telling me I am starting to actually look pregnant, ha!  (they must be blind!)

Already...

About a week ago Madelyn was begging to invite the little boy that lives in the house behind us over to play.  He's a few years older but they have always played well together so I said sure.  I called over to his house to talk to his mom for a little bit and when I got off the phone this was our conversation:

Madelyn: "Is JT coming over to play?"

Me: "Yes, he'll be over in a few minutes."

Madelyn: "Great, I got to go check my hair to make sure it looks good like it always does!"

She's worried about what she looks like in front of boys!  ALREADY!!

Sunflower Beauty

Due to drought and my lack of energy our garden suffered greatly this year.  But I've got a game plan for next year though so hopefully we'll have more home grown goodness than this year.  Anyway, here are one of the many sunflowers we had going this year in our garden.  I was quite surprised they bloomed about a month early and only stayed nice and perky for a few days before they drooped their heads over.

18 Weeks

This pregnancy I decided I would take weekly belly photos to help capture the experience.  I always meant to do this when I was pregnant with Madelyn but I was so sick and tired, I never really got around to it. I started taking pictures at 18 weeks because there wasn't too much of a difference before. So here goes, hopefully I can try to keep up (I'm already behind!)

Pregnancy Highlights:

Symptoms: still sick a couple of times a week, growing pains in my belly and back, tired, tired, tired

Cravings: mashed potatoes, oranges, grapes

Total Weight Gain: 4 pounds

Movement: this baby is an acrobat

What I miss: more than one cup of coffee, wine

Best moment this week: showing Madelyn the pictures of the ultrasound

Healthy Baby!!

We had our 18 week ultrasound about 2 weeks ago and baby looks perfect!  We chose to be surprised of gender again this time around although it was tempting to find out because we have set on a girls name but are really, really struggling with boys names.  Baby was moving and wiggling around so much it was hard to get good picture and our ultrasound tech took most of the pictures in 3-D which I think look kinda creepy alien baby but it was helpful for Madelyn to actually see the baby's face, arms, and legs!
