A few weeks ago we ventured to The Cider Family Orchard a few miles from our house. It is a cute little orchard that is easy to walk, has a pond to picnic beside, beehives to go visit, and a nice little country store to visit. The day happened to be beautiful, awesome fall temperatures, pretty sunshine, and a fun family outing!
We were able to pick a variety of apples which has made awesome applesauce.
Madelyn loved the picking part but didn't take time to glance at any of the apples to make sure they weren't damaged we both found ourselves examining the apples she picked before they went into the bags.

And if the orchard wasn't enough they have a campfire to roast marshmellows at! Can you tell it was a hit with Little Miss here!
They also have pears there so we are definately planning a visit back to the orchard to pick those!
