Madelyn and I recently had a very interesting conversation. We had just purchased some flowers and veggies and were headed home. This was the dialogue that happened:
Madelyn: When I grow up and become a Mommy, who will be the Daddy?
Me: Well, when you grow up you will pick a boy who you really love and he can be the Daddy?
Madelyn: (not at all pleased with my response) Oh, I don't want to! I want Daddy (Matt)
Me: Daddy belongs to me and you can choose someone that you love.
Madelyn: Then I don't want to grow up, I'm not going to eat tomorrow because I don't want to grow up.
Me: That's fine too. (trying not to burst out laughing)
End of conversation. Geez, where does this kid get this stuff from!
