Dance, Dance

This year we added a dance class to our busy schedule and it has been something Madelyn and I both look forward to each week.  Madelyn has learned lots of new moves including several of the ballet positions.  We both have met some fun people in the instructors, kiddos, and moms.  And honestly what is cuter than seeing a bunch of little girls in black leotards, skirts, pretty pink tights, and ballet shoes!

A couple of weeks ago it was Watch Week at dance class so I wanted to share a few photos from the evening! (my little one is sporting a side ponytail)
They start every class with some warm up exercises, in this picture they are pretending to be mermaids which is one of Madelyn's favorites right now.  FYI- try this exercise on your living room floor and you'll be surprised how much muscles you use!

Watching Miss Megan in the mirro and "hopefully" doing the same moves!

Part of their recital dance involves them getting in a line, it is absolutely hysterical watching them try to do this and see who is or isn't paying attention!

Toward the end of class, as the attention spans are running low, they do a "freeze dance" and a "silly moves dance".  It is probably one of the favorites for the little dancers and the moms.  We get to see them shake it and spin in all different directions.

Madelyn loves Miss Megan!  She is so fun loving and spirited, the girls have a terrific time. Thanks for making our dance experience so special, looking forward to recital!
