Kindergartener

Hooray for KINDERGARTEN!!

We were all so excited for school to start, especially Madelyn!  She couldn't wait to be in a big kid school and Mommy's school.  We had a few fun activities planned the evening before the first day and a super cute book to read but she was so tuckered out from daycare that she slept all evening!!  So we squeezed in a quick photo in the morning and the "Kindergarten Fairy" delivered a little gift of new hair accessories and a sparkly lotion to her!  We were all so excited for the fun new adventure that school brings that there were no tears from any of us.  Madelyn was a little scared when I walked her to her desk and she saw that the only people seated there were boys.  Her exact words were, "Mommy, I don't like boys."  So I pointed out the girls names that would be at her table but just hadn't arrived yet and then she was fine.  She wouldn't let me hug her of give her a quick kiss so off I went to my class.  Later the first day she raised her hand and told her teacher that she didn't realize that kindergarten would be so much fun!  That just melts my heart, I hope she continues to love learning and love her teachers!
